Qaim reviews issues pertaining to CCI meeting
Karachi: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah presided over a highlevel meeting Monday night at Chief Minister House, which reviewed the issues and problems in connection with forthcoming meeting of council of common interest CCI.
The meeting was attended by Minister for Interprovincial Coordination Makhdoom Jameel uz Zaman, Chief Secretary Sindh Raja Muhammad Abbas, Secretary IPC Kaleem Lashari, Secretary Zakat, Secretary Labour Arif
Elahi, Secretary Excise and Taxation Atta Muhammad Panhwar, Secretary Law Ghulam Nabi Shah and others.
The meeting discussed matters pertaining to restoration of executive magistracy; promulgation of Industrial Relations Ordinance 2011; minutes of Public Accounts Committee meeting about realization of domestic tariff to strengthen local bodies; and tariff on the drinking water supply; grant of permission to export wheat; non-acceptance of token tax, exemption from levy of tax on employees social security etc and regularization of contract employees of Population Welfare Department, Punjab.
The meeting evolved strategy to take up issues of Sindh province before CCI in befitting manners.
Chief Minister Sindh maintained that the interests of Sindh province will safeguarded in the meeting, for which strategy has already been evolved.
