Power supply to KWSB offices restored
Karachi: Karachi Electric Supply Company has restored power supply to head offices of Karachi Water Board on the commitment of its Managing Director that the Board would start paying at least Rs. 10 crore monthly from this December to reciprocate the gesture of goodwill from KESC.
In a recent meeting with the Managing Director and other high officials of Karachi Water Board, KESC management decided to take this goodwill initiative with an aim to increase monthly revenue recovery. The Water Board management promised to pay to KESC at least Rs. 10 crore every month starting this month out of its current power bills, and an early settlement of the outstanding arrears. However, if the Water Board failed to come up to its commitment, KESC would be left with no other option to disconnect the power supply to Board offices again.
