Islamabad: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that development in the fields of science and technology are central to social and economic progress of the country.
Prime Minister expressed these views while talking to Minister for Science and technology, Mir Changez Khan Jamali, who called on him at the Prime Minister on Monday.
Mr Jamali apprised the Prime Minister about matters pertaining to his ministry.
The Prime Minister emphasized on the promotion and coordination of research and its proper utilization so that society could reap benefits.
The Prime Minister said that emphasis on scientific research and education is a precursor to ensuring the nation’s global economic competitiveness and improving the quality of life.
