Islamabad: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has directed the Civil Aviation Authority to accelerate the ongoing construction at the New Islamabad Airport site and improve coordination of various activities as the project is behind schedule time.
The Prime Minister gave the above direction during a presentation by the Civil Aviation Authority on the New Islamabad Airport at the PM’s House on Wednesday to review the progress of work on the new Benazir International Airport.
The Prime Minister directed Islamabad Electric Supply Company IESCO to speed up its work for provision of electricity for the Cargo Terminal Complex.
The Prime Minister was informed that 45% of the overall physical work has been completed so far, however nearly 70% of the work on the 24 KM long boundary wall has been completed.
