PM: Caretaker PM keeps holding of transparent elections top priority

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Justice (r) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso on Sunday said that holding of free, fair and transparent elections was his top priority.

Talking to media after his appointment as caretaker Prime Minister, Khoso said “Insha Allah (God willing) polls would be held on time, adding that caretaker cabinet would consist of 10 to 12 members only.

He said only elections were the solution of all the issues, adding that he would hold meetings with all the political leaders soon. Commenting on law and order situation, he said it was the responsibility of the provinces to maintain it. He said provinces would be consulted on this issue.

He said he would quit if he failed to hold elections on time. He said politicians could also be included in the caretaker cabinet. He said he will soon meet President Asif Ali Zardari as well Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
