KARACHI: An activist of Awami National Party (ANP) was killed and 11 others, including 10 primary students, were injured in a hand grenade blast a school in Baldia Town on Saturday.
ANP activisit Abdul Rasheed, who was the owner of the National School, was killed, while primary students Nazia, Tahira, Nabia, Rabia, Hina, Amina, Atia, Gul Wali, Ata Muhammad, Saira and a man Mian Sahib were injured in the hand grenade attack by unidentified culprits in Baldia within the remit of Ittehad Town police station.
The body and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities and treatment respectively, Where the condition of three students was stated to be in a critical.
Police said two unidentified bike riders threw a hand grenade in the school which exploded with big bang. Police linked the incident to extortion issue.
