Oil tanker owners threaten stopping oil supply

Peshawar: Office bearers of All Pakistan Oil Tankers Owners Association APOTOA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter on Monday held a protest demonstration against kidnapping of provincial president of the association, Nasir Ali Khan.

They threatened that if he was not recovered safely within 72 hours they would stop oil supply to Bacha Khan Airport Peshawar, besides KP province and Federally Administrated Tribal Areas FATA.

The demonstrators holding banners and placards marched on Sher Shah Soori road near Peshawar Press Club.

Nawab Sher Afridi, central secretary general APOTOA, who led the demo, said that Nasir Ali was kidnapped by unidentified persons on 29 November from his house in Pabbi.

He said his family members were very much concerned about his safety; therefore, the government should take steps for his early recovery.
