Karachi: Karachi Metropolitan Corporation KMC Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed has said that night safari to make safari on modern lines was being started whereas three pairs of rare species of saras (cranes) were inducted and the construction work of library consist of precious books had been started bird aviary and peacock enclosure had been determined and construction work would be started this month.
During a visit of Safari Park, he said that this Park was a vast picnic point consisting of 300 acres of land whereas during current fiscal year animals and birds were inducted to get this park recognized on international standard whereas lion, giraffe, rhinoceros and chimpanzee would be inducted soon.
He said that construction work of boating in central lake of safari park was underway which would provide visitors with a good entertainment and bird aviary was also being constructed to provide birds with natural environment according to international standard. After the construction of inner roads and plantation of 10000 new trees, the environment is now greener and more attractive.
Sr. Director CSR Muhammad Rehan Khan on this occasion gave a briefing and said that a modern elephant house on 65 thousand square feet was being built in which a pool, rest area and shades on 2800 square feet would be built for elephants.
A safety 12 foot wall along Madho Goth had been built to prevent safari park from encroachments and unnecessary movements.
He said that 2.5km long and 24 feet wide roads in safari park were constructed with a cost of Rs20million whereas stone pitching would be done in second phase.
Irrigation system to let water flow in grass fields and animal cages was being installed and an international standard food court would also be built where along with international standard items local and fast foods would be available whereas a big space for vehicle parking had also been allocated.
Administrator Karachi directed to build a safety wall in surroundings of safari park to prevent this precious land from land mafia. He also urged on cleanliness, greenery, animals care and proper meals in Safari Park.
Administrator Karachi said that the renovation work of safari park would continue and this would be made a good and modern picnic point for citizens.
Following the directive of Governor of Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan planning for uplifting of safari park was being prepared so that this would be mega project along with all facilities.
