Need stressed to make EXPO Centre Hyderabad more attractive


HYDERABAD: Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Jamal Mustafa Syed has directed the officers concerned to make the EXPO Centre Hyderabad more attractive and functional within shortest possible time not only to ensure efficient outlet facilities to business community but to boost Hyderabad’s best production in the national and international markets.

This he directed while visiting EXPO Centre Hyderabad. The Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Agha Shah Nawaz Babar, MD WASA Saleemuddin, Municipal Commissioner Mohammad Rafique Rajput and other officers also accompanied the Commissioner during the visit which he made today.

Speaking on the occasion, the Divisional Commissioner said that efficient drainage system, cleanliness, plantation and beatification of the area are more important. He directed the officers to expedite the ongoing work of a drainage scheme approved by the government at its estimated cost of Rs 9 million and complete it within shortest possible time.

Syed while expressing his dissatisfaction over the cleanliness in the area and other parts of the city, directed the Municipal Commissioner Hyderabad to put its all sources in the field and maintain the cleanliness of the city without fail. He also directed him to prepare PCI for establishment of “Landfill Site” and to ensure mechanized system for disposal of garbage efficiently.

He directed the officers to redesign the parks in front of EXPO Centre and make it more attractive for visitors. He also directed for ensuring sufficient parking at EXPO Centre and repairing the roads leading to the EXPO Centre Hyderabad.

The Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad was of the view that EXPO Centre has more importance as it gives national exposure. He said that Hyderabad is agroindustrial district and has more potential in these fields. He said that Hyderabad was so rich district that it not only could provide employment to the youths of Hyderabad but for the interior Sindh as well. He said that government was planning to convert Hyderabad as hub of agroindustrial business as such not only the Site area of Hyderabad has been extended but more facilities were being provided to the business community.

Later, Divisional Commissioner also took round of Hyderabad city and inspected cleanliness in the area appointment.
