Zakat & Usher Department of Sindh provided a complete list of Guzara Allowance beneficiaries with their eligibility criteria to NTL, which verified the list through the NADRA CNIC database and provided a cleansed database that was then used for beneficiary enrolment and disbursement.

“Each beneficiary will receive Zakat through biometric verification, ensuring a fair method of disbursement to the deserving beneficiary,” the spokesperson of NADRA said.

She further said that eSahulat outlets are ready to disburse cash for any government or corporate entity.

Divulging the details of the project, the spokesperson said “The project has been divided in two phases, enrolment and disbursement. In the first phase, the Zakat Mustahqeen are enrolled with NADRA’s system to receive the Benazir Muawenat card. The spokesperson further informed that “Each Mustahiq’s fingerprints are recorded and they are promptly issued a Benazir Muawenat card. In the second step, as per Sindh Government guidelines, an amount of Rs 3000 is distributed to each Zakat Mustahiq every 6 months.”

She also said that “eSahulat franchisees have been trained in the new Guzara Allowance application and Fingerprint Verification devices have been installed to secure biometric authentication of every Zakat mustahiq who arrives at the location to get Zakat money.”

“To ensure strict control, each eSahulat location will be supervised by a dedicated eSahulat Compliance Executive with the complete coordination of local District Zakat Officers.
