Islamabad: Millions of rupees had been spent on development projects with the objective to provide basic necessities of life to the inhabitants of remote and far flung areas of Federally Administered Tribal Area FATA.
This was stated by the Chairman IPO-Pakistan and head of FATA Joint Parliamentarians Group Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi MNA while talking to a delegation of Khyber Agency.
Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi said that despite of financial constraints, it has been tried by the Members of FATA Joint Parliamentarians Group which consists of Senators and MNA’s to achieve maximum financial resources for the uplift of neglected areas and a record number of projects had been completed in different constituencies.
Mr. Afridi said that people living in hard areas of FATA are facing grave difficulties in getting basic amenities of life and the elected representatives of FATA Joint Parliamentarian Group is trying its utmost to address the pressing demands of their respective areas on priority basis.
He condemned such elements who had been trying to create miss understandings about different development schemes and creating wrong impression of their involvement in allocation of development funds. He also said that people of FATA are well aware about the performance of FATA Joint Parliamentarians Group members who had devoted themselves for initiating socioeconomic development steps of the neglected and less developed areas.
On the occasion, the delegation acknowledge Mr. Afridi for initiating development projects in FATA. They also lauded his role for uplift of common man of FATA. Members of the delegation also shared their views about problems faced by them in different areas of Agency.
