Lawyers’ delegations meet Qaim, Rs.2.5 million grant announced for KBA

Karachi: A 15member delegation of Karachi Bar Association called on Chief Minister Sind Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Monday at CM House.

Chief Minister lauded the role of lawyers for restoration and strengthening of democracy in the country. He added that he himself belongs to lawyers’ community and struggled for democracy and restoration of constitution and rule of law.

President Karachi Bar Association, Naeem Qureshi presented problems faced to KBA with regard to land for members and grant for association.

Chief Minister announced grant of Rs.2.5 million for the welfare of the association.

Separately, a 12member delegation of Sind High Court Bar Association led by Mustafa Lakhani called on Chief Minister. The meeting was attended by Sind Law Minister Ayaz Soomro, Social Welfare Minister Ms. Nargis N.D. Khan and others.

Chief Minister Sind listened to the problems of High Court Bar Association, and assured them that the problems of Bar will be resolved soon which included grant of land for members and financial assistance. Other issues were also be discussed.
