Peshawar: Pharmacy students of Kohat University of Science Technology KUST on Tuesday appealed to Chief Justice Peshawar High Court PHC take notice of the issue so and helped them for recognition of the pharmacy department of the university with Pakistan Pharmacy Council PPC.
“If our problem is not resolved future of the students will be blacked. Above 400 pharmacy degrees of KUST would go in waste as they could they apply for the jobs, while the PPC would also not issue license to the students” said Faheem Afridi president of Pharmacy Students Association PSA in a press conference here at Peshawar Press Club.
He said that they had observed protest demonstrations and boycotted the classes time and again for the solution of their problems, saying that Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who is chancellor the university and director of the department had assured the students about fulfilment of the requirements for the recognition with PPC and this process will be completed before 30 August 2012 but no step had been taken in this regard.
Flanked by Waseem Bacha, general secretary and Taj Muhammad, press secretary of the association, Mr Faheem said KUST had started pharmacy classes in November 2007 and since that period the issue had remained unsolved.
