Islamabad: At the invitation of the Government the Kashmiri leaders from Indian Occupied Kashmir will be visiting Pakistan from December 15 to 22.
During their visit they will be calling on the Prime Minister, the Foreign Minister and Minister for Kashmir Affairs & Gilgit-Baltistan.
They will also meet the Chairman and Members of the Special Committee of the Parliament on Kashmir. The Kashmiri leaders will also visit Muzaffarabad and call on the President and Prime Minister of AJK.
The visit of Kashmiri delegation to Pakistan will provide them an opportunity to exchange views with leaders, politicians and other opinion makers on Kashmir.
In-house meeting with Chinese delegation held, Pak-China relation lauded
Islamabad: The Institute of Strategic Studies, Islamabad (ISSI) organized an In-House meeting with the Chinese Delegation from Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) on Monday. The Chairman ISSI, Mr. Gul Haneef welcomed the guests and said that we had long standing relations with the Chinese institutes and are very delighted to have CPIFA delegation here and are looking forward to useful and constructive exchange of views enormously from the delegation’s wisdom.
Director General ISSI, Mr. Ashraf Jehangir Qazi reiterated the Chairman’s warm welcome and said that Pakistan-China relation has passed the test of time in all type of changes that took place around the globe. One of the constant in International Relations is the relation between Pakistan and China and hoped that the deliberations would go a long way in bringing peace and cooperation to this region.
Mr. Lu Shumin, Vice President of CPIFA, provide the brief overview of the Institute and said that the purpose of CPIFA is to engage in the studies of world affairs, international and foreign policy issues and carry out the exchanges with senior officials, noted statement, congress men and senators etc.
He said that CPIFA has carry out people to people contact and played a unique role in bringing wider exchange. He spoke a large about the Pakistan-China relations and believed that Pakistan is the only country with which China enjoys all type of healthy relations.
He also discussed that the new Chinese leadership is very much important and all including Chinese are concerned that where China is heading and said that China is based on the reality of socialism and it is going to promote Sociological, Economical, Political, Cultural and Ecological (newly added) developments.
He said that the general task of the new leadership is to promote the Socialist Modernization and is expecting to complete the beauty of modern and prosperous society. Director General ISSI, Mr. Ashraf Jehangir Qazi said that there is a national consensus with respect to image of China as a real friend on all the dimensions.
He alleged that despite of all the internal issues and dimensions of our relations with US and India, we always seek to normalize our relations. The event was concluded after an enlightening question and answer session and closing remarks by Director General ISSI, Ashraf Jehangir Qazi.
