Peshawar: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amir Haider Khan Hoti has said that entire successes of provincial government during last about four and a half years were all due to support and cooperation of the people. He said that this journey of people welfare will continue in future. He was addressing people gathering at Union Council Sikandari Mardan on Tuesday.
ANP local association arranged the gathering. ANP district Mardan President Farooq Akram Khan, General Secretary Imran Mandori, Coordinator Javed Yousufzai, Javed Muhammad Khel, Haji Lataf Gul, Iqbal Advocate, local notables and ANP office bearers and workers were also present on the occasion. Imran Mandori, Advocate Iqbal and Haji Lataf Gul also addressed the gathering.
The Chief Minister said that earlier to this government youth of Mardan have to left to other areas to quench their thirst for higher and professional education, added, now they have the facility of a university and medical college in the shape of Abdul Wali Khan University and Bacha Khan Medical college that will benefit youth of Mardan and other associated districts.
He said that role of schools in spreading light of knowledge was basic and that was the reason why the provincial government has extended net of primary, middle, higher and higher secondary schools in not only Mardan but across the province.
He announced Rs.10 million for construction of six additional rooms in Government High School Sikandari and needs of science laboratory. He approved up gradation of Government High School Sharqi Hoti to higher secondary level that will cost Rs.18 million.
He said that Shah Dhand Baba graveyard will be soon completed at a cost of Rs.12 million and boundary wall will be constructed for protection of the graveyard from encroachments. He said that Eid Gah named after Hayat Baba Jee costing Rs.18.5 million was bear to completion.
He announced approval of funds for additional work in funeral place in Mardan Khas near Rustam Khel Bridge. He said that platform, lights and sanitation facilities included road has been constructed. He said that small projects worth Rs.30.5 million were under process in the said union council.
He said that people of the area were compelled to drink contaminated water due to obsolete pipes, added, in order to protect them from fatal diseases, clean drinking water project under which change in obsolete pipes, establishment of new tube wells and rehabilitation of existing tube wells will be accomplished that will cost Rs.86.6 million.
He thanked Ulemas and elders for guidance on noble cause of serving Mosques and said that he will continue the mission above politics. He said that ruling and positions were temporary and I wish I could earn place in hearts of people by serving them which will be my success.
Earlier, visiting Madrassa Dar-e-Arqam on Katlang road, the Chief Minister reiterated his resolve of serving Madrassa and Mosques above politics. He said that it was a source of honour for him to address students of the madrassa.
He said that it was my prior responsibility to help the madrassa financially like other development schemes of Mardan. He announced Rs.5 million for welfare of the Madrassa and directed the local administration for prompt arrangements for provision of gas to the madrassa. Administrator Dar-e-Arqam, Maulana Muhammad Naeem presented performance report of the Madrassa.
