JI, PMLF agree to electoral alliance

Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami JI Sindh and Pakistan Muslim League-Functional JI here Monday agreed to cooperate with one another in the next general elections and go for electoral alliance.

JI Sindh amir Dr Merajul Huda Siddiqui called on PMLF chief Pir Pagara Syed Sibghatullah Rashdi at latter’s residence.

Pir Pagara welcome the JI delegation, saying coming of people who offers five time prayers and use Tasbihs prayer beads to his home was a matter of blessing. He said today every Pakistani is worried about the ongoing situation, as the government has destroyed all important institutions in five years.

Pir Pagara claimed that some 35000 people with criminal record were recruited in police and practically thieves given the responsibility of policing. He said today Pakistan Peoples’ Party was afraid to its misdeeds.

Dr Meraj said the decision of Pir Pagara has given them a new courage. He said the Sindh government is held hostage by terrorists. He said Sindh has always given vote to the PPP, but in return this party has given nothing to the province.

He said it is high time that all positive forces join hands in the larger interest of the nation and country, adding Pir Pagara could play an important role in this regard.
