Karachi: The Japanese film show ‘Hope of Recovery from Great East Japan Earthquake’ was organized at Japan Information & Culture Centre, Karachi. Consul General of Japan Mr. Akira Ouchi inaugurated the film show.
Speaking on the occasion, envoy expressed gratitude and appreciation to Pakistani people for showing solidarity and support to the disaster-affected Japanese. “Japan felt ‘Kizuna’ (Bond of friendship) with the international society including Pakistani people in particular for their assistance,” he said.
Mr. Akira said that the affected area of Japan has already recovered from disaster and the reconstruction is well on the way. “The Japanese film show was organized for the purpose of showing ‘Genki na Nippon’ (Vigorous Japan) to Pakistani people to show that Japan is recovering from disaster in a spirit of solidarity and never giving up,” he said.
The show will continue till December 07. The film show also commemorates the 60th year of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Japan.
