Govt working hard to strengthen Pakistan Railways: Saad

Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that present government is striving hard to improve the condition of Pakistan Railways.

He stated this while addressing Pakistan Railways’ first ever branding conference under the aegis of RAILCOP in Lahore on Monday.

He said that branding of specific railway stations in different parts of the country will be done within the next sixty days to increase revenue.

He said all equipment and related gadgets installed for branding purposes will be properly protected.

Khawaja Saad Rafique said Supreme Court has accepted our point that we can use Railways’ land for commercial purposes for five years.

The Railways Minister said the present government is working seriously on the ML-1 project which is part of CPEC.

He said Pakistan will manufacture 184 coaches itself as we have qualified personnel for this task.
