Fawad scores a century in Veterans cricket match

Karachi: Chairman of Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association PVCA Fawad Ijaz Khan scored a brilliant unbeaten century in a friendly cricket match played between Omar Associates Veterans and Karachi Gymkhana Veterans here at Karachi Gymkhana ground.

Karachi Gymkhana batted first in the match and put on board 1896 in allotted 25 overs. Jam Nafees scored 82 runs off 58 balls while Dr. Mumtaz scored 33 runs off 22 balls. For Omar Associates, Badar Ansari and Hassan Nadeem took two wickets each for 21 and 41 runs respectively.

Batting second, Omar Associates could only score 1758 in 25 overs in spite of a brilliant and unbeaten century from Fawad, which included a six and six boundaries.

Dr. Anjum Fazal and Masroor Mirza took two wickets each for 26 and 27 runs respectively. Fawad was declared Man of the Match for scoring a century.
