Dr. Qadir Magsi demands fresh delimitation and door to door verification of voters by biometric machines in Karachi

Nawabshah, Sindh: Chairman, Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party, Dr. Qadir Magsi has demanded fresh delimitation of constituencies and door to door verification of voters through biometric machines in Karachi.

Talking to media at local press club on Sunday, he said free, fair and transparent elections cannot be expected during present government however sixty percent fairness and impartiality could be there if the polls are held under caretaker setup.

To a question, Dr. Magsi said no talks could be held with PPP till it withdraws the disputed dual local government law. He accused the PPP of bartering away the interests of Sindh and contended that people of Sindh sacrificed for the PPP for 40 years but today it is acting on the instructions of Establishment. “The present party is not the PPP but Zardari League, as the PPP of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto is now buried at Garhi Khuda Bux,” he remarked.

STPP chairman said people of Sindh are opposed to construction of all kinds of dams including Kala Bagh Dam on River Indus. “President Zardari must keep in mind that Sindh is not a commodity to barter away.

Condemning the arrests of his party workers across the province, Dr. Qadir Magsi said crackdown on his party should be stopped forthwith and arrested workers should be released.

Earlier, he visited the hunger strike camp and ended the hunger strike of STPP and PMLN workers.
