Sialkot: All the main trade bodies of Sialkot including Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) have expressed concern over the stepped up duration of unscheduled load shedding in export-oriented Sialkot city.
SCCI President Sheikh Abdul Majeed has asked the Gepco officials to reduce the mounted duration of daily 20 to 22 hours long power outages in export-oriented Sialkot city.
Meanwhile all the main trade bodies of Sialkot have strongly condemned reintroduction of load shedding for prolonged hours. In an important meeting held here the trade bodies representatives said that unscheduled load shedding for extended hours is not merely disturbing the routine of the people but is also adversely affecting the production of the Industry.
They revealed that exporters are unable to honour their commitments despite the fact that they are under an obligation to deliver consignments to their foreign buyers as per agreed terms.
