Karachi: To promote religious tolerance in Pakistan there is a dire need to ban sectarianism in its all forms and shapes, demanded Lawyers Committee for Human Rights here Monday.
Addressing a meeting in connection with the international human rights day, president Lawyers Committee for Human Rights Aqil Lodhi said the human rights violation is not just limited to poor and developing countries, but the developed counties are also involved in massive violations of human rights.
He said in Pakistan more than 4000 people have been killed in targeted killing and bomb blasts. He said there is a need to promote religious harmony in the country and discourage all types and forms of sectarianism.
