ISLAMABAD: The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has constituted two benches of the Supreme Court at its principal seat to hear a number of important cases during the week, commencing from today (Monday).
The first bench comprises Chief Justice, Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Sh. Azmat Saeed. The second comprises Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain. Besides, a five member larger bench has also been constituted, which would hear the presidential reference filed for Supreme Court’s advice on the issue of appointment of superior courts’ judges. The bench comprises Justice Khilji Arif Hussain, Justice Tariq Parvez, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Sh. Azmat Saeed.
