Islamabad: Nawab Aslam Raisani, Chief Minister Baluchistan, called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf Monday and apprised him of the measures taken by the provincial government to improve the law and order situation in the province.
The Prime Minister said that the present government is paying special attention to redress the grievances of people of Baluchistan. He further said that reconciliatory policy pursued by the federal government during the last five years to bring the Baloch youth into the national mainstream would pay dividends.
He congratulated the Chief Minister Baluchistan over a judgment by the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes ICSID Tribunal in favour of the Balochistan government, allowing it to carry out mining and smelting project in the Reko Diq area of Balochistan.
The Prime Minister urged the Chief Minister to take all possible measures to improve law and order in the province so that the people of Baluchistan could benefit from its resources.
