Caretaker CM meets CS, IGP


KARACHI: Caretaker Chief Minister Sind Justice R Zahid Qurban Alvi on Thursday had a meeting with Chief Secretary Sind Arif Ahmed Khan and IG Police Sind Ghulam Shabir Shaikh at CM House.

Alvi stressed the need to maintain good governance in the province and said that it is our firm duty to resolve problems faced to commonman. He said that the bureaucracy must maintain coordinated effects for overall efficiency of working officers and staff in the interest of commonman.

He further said that rule of law must be the policy of government. He said that he would soon call a meeting of all provincial secretaries and heads of nation building departments to ascertain the measures for redressal of issues faced by people and the genuine problems faced by bureaucracy. Regarding law and order, the caretaker chief minister stressed upon IG police Sind to have constant vigilance on criminals and antisocial elements for strictly maintenance of peaceful atmosphere in every nook and corner of province, particularly in Karachi.

He further stressed to evolve a prompt strategy for security in the province, especially in trade and commercial centers,
important installation and public places. On the occasion, Chief Secretary Sind gave briefing about government policies, problems, criminal activities and IG Police Sind presented law and order report. Principal Secretary to CM Sind Naveed Kamran Baloch was also present on the occasion.
