Bar association supports SC verdict
Ahmedpur East: Bar Association AhmedpurEast Wednesday observed full day strike today in favour of Supreme Court verdict to arrest sixteen persons including Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf in Rental Power Plants corruption case.
All bar members boycotted the local courts however they remained present in their chambers.
An emergent meeting of the Bar Association which was chaired by its President Sardar Nazar Hussein Aslam expressed their solidarity with Chief Justice Pakistan Iftikhar Mohd Chaudhry and saluted him for announcing bold judgments against powerful corrupt elements.
General Secretary Malik Rashid Naich, Joint Secretary Mohd Asgraf Tareen, Abdul Majeed and other officebearers delivered speeches and reposed their full confidence in superior judiciary which was restored due to heroic struggle of lawyers.
