Antimeasles drive postponed for two days

Karachi: Antimeasles drive in Karachi was postponed for two days due to the Chehlum of Imam Hussain RA.

EDO Health office sources said that the Antimeasles campaign in Karachi scheduled from January 03 would now be started from January 05. Initially anti measles vaccine would be given in Landhi, Korangi, Gadap, Malir, Bin Qasim, Lyari and New Karachi towns to children ageing up to 10 years. The campaign would continue till January 15.

They said some 550 cases of measles have been reported from Karachi and at least 15 kids have died on the disease.
