AJK: Govt. takes steps for the welfare of far flung remote areas peoples, says Majeed

Islamabad: AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has said that government has taken steps on priority basis for development of far flung remote areas people.

He was addressing district development review meeting at Forward Kahuta in district Haveli of Azad Kashmir on Wednesday.

He said that education‚ healthcare‚ communication‚ tourism and hydro power projects are being focused for socioeconomic development in the state.

The Prime Minister said that Pakistan is center of our hopes and steps are being taken for hydropower generation to overcome the power crisis as well as strengthening the economy of the country. He said that ban has been imposed on cutting of trees for the growth and protection of forests and urged the officers of forest.

He said that government realizes the importance of female education and has upgraded a number of girl’s schools and colleges to provide maximum facilities of education to the women of the state. He said after setting up a Women university government intends to set up another women University at Muzaffarabad.

Ch Abdul Majid directed the Deputy Commissioner Haveli to provide land for the construction of Bar Association and Press Club.
