Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar says present government is determined to support and uplift the living standards of low class people through various programmes.

He was chairing a meeting of the Special Committee Constituted by PM on Qaumi Sehat Card, Sehat Sahulat Program at Finance Division on Friday.

The meeting reviewed nature and operational framework of Sehat Sahulat Program saying Federal Sehat Sahulat Program is currently expanded to all population of Federal Capital – Islamabad, AJK, Gilgit-Baltistan and district Tharparker.

President Dr Arif Alvi has appreciated the performance of Pakistan’s Cricket Team in the recent T-20 World Cup.

Addressing a ceremony organized in honour of the national cricket team in Islamabad, he said despite challenges, the team showed leadership during the tournament and reached the final of the world cup.

He expressed confidence that the team will bring more victories in the coming tournaments.

The President noted that cricket is an exemplary popular game in Pakistan and a good performance by the team brings colours in the lives of all Pakistanis.

Captain Baber Azam said it was the support of the nation that became their strength during such big tournaments.

The ceremony was attended by Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja and legendary cricketers of Pakistan.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Turkiye is expected to shore up collaborative ventures, strategic partnership and economic engagement between the two brotherly countries.

She said this in a tweet on Friday.

The Information Minister said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is determined to tap the enormous potential between Pakistan and Türkiye.

She said the Prime Minister has tirelessly worked for extensive interaction with Turkish authorities and potential investors to develop a comprehensive roadmap for bilateral engagement.
