Jamshoro: 15 passengers killed, 40 injured in bus incident

At least 15 passengers were burt to death while  forty others seriously injured when fire broke out in a bus near Noriabad in Jamshoro.

 

The injured passengers were shifted to Karachi and Hyderabad hospitals.

 

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives as a result of tragic incident of breaking out fire in a bus at Nooriabad area near Jamshoro.

 

In a Tweet, the Prime Minister prayed for high ranks to the deceased and granting fortitude to the heirs to bear this loss.

 

He also prayed for early recovery of the injured.

 

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the broke out of fire in a bus, which resulted in multiple casualties in Nooriabad area near Jamshoro.

 

In a statement, he issued directives to the district administration to provide best treatment to the injured.

 

He also prayed for the deceased persons.

Twelve-day anti-typhoid vaccination campaign in full swing in KP

A twelve-day anti-typhoid vaccination campaign to protect children from typhoid is in full swing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

 

According to the provincial health department, the aim of the vaccination campaign is to strengthen the immunity of children.

 

During the campaign, about two point eight million children aged between 9 months and 15 years are being vaccinated against typhoid.

 

Similarly, Children up to five years of age are also being administered anti-polio drops.

Electricity in Multan, Faisalabad fully restored: Dastgir

Minister for Power Khurram Dastgir says electricity in Multan and Faisalabad has been fully restored.

 

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Thursday, he said work is also underway to restore it in other affected areas.

 

Khurram Dastgir further said electricity transmission in Sukkur and Quetta has partially been restored.

 

He made it clear that electricity in the rest of the areas will be restored by this evening.

 

The Minister for Energy said that inquiry team will determine the cause of the breakdown within four days.

 

He said with extensive efforts of our teams, the Northern side of the country remained uninterrupted by the shutdown.
