Member states of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) have adopted a long-term goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, following two weeks of intensive diplomacy at the agency’s 41st Assembly.
According to a UN press release, in order to achieve this aim, several CO2 emissions reductions measures will need to be put in place, such as the accelerated adoption of new and innovative aircraft technologies, streamlined flight operations, and the increased production and deployment of sustainable aviation fuels.

Update: Easypaisa app is now back online.
Easypaisa, one of Pakistan’s leading digital payments app, has been down across the country for a number of hours.
Instead of letting the users sign in the android app of Easypaisa is displaying the message, “Network Error. Please try again shortly.”
The issue has also been highlighted by multiple users on Twitter, with some tagging the official handle of the company. However, there has been no direct response from the company on the issue.
Surprisingly, marketing content is being posted on the company’s official handle with users complaining of the app being down receiving the standard response, “Hi, we are here for your help! Please inbox us the issue details so we can check & assist you in the best possible way.”
In a statement given to ProPakistani, the company said, “We understand that our valued customers are experiencing technical difficulties with accessing Easypaisa services.”
“Inconvenience in this regard is deeply regretted. Our tech teams are actively working to resolve the issue. Rest assured, our services will be up and running very soon,” it added.
