President Dr Arif Alvi has stressed the need to highlight the achievements of young Pakistani mountaineers through the media to project their potential and build a soft image of the country.
The President expressed these views while talking to Pakistani mountaineers, Shehroze Kashif, Sirbaz Khan, and Abdul Joshi, who called on him in Islamabad on Monday.
The President deeply appreciated the climbers and mountaineers of Pakistan for their meritorious achievements in the most challenging and adventurous game of mountaineering which is cherished around the world.
He advised the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination and Pakistan Sports Board to patronize and support the young climbers in building their careers and for the generation of a regular income stream for them.

Minister for Finance and Revenue Miftah Ismail held a meeting on facility confirmation of Letter of Credits for oil imports in Islamabad on Monday.
Minister of State for Foreign Affair Hina Rabbani Khar, Chairman FBR, Governor SBP, Chairman OGRA and senior officers participated in the meeting.
The meeting discussed issues regarding opening of LCs for oil imports and steps for resolving the issues for smooth supply of energy chain in the country.
The Finance Minister discussed over the available options for resolution of this issue.
After, comprehensive deliberation on the pragmatic way outs, the chair directed the relevant authorities to expedite the process for resolving these issues.
