Prime Minister condoles with family of martyred constable

 

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has written a condolence letter to the bereaved family of late Constable Mudassar Iqbal who embraced martyrdom near Attock while performing duty during PTI’s long march.

City Police Officer Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi met with family members of the Shaheed Constable and handed over the condolence letter of Prime Minister to them.

The CPO laid floral wreath on the grave of martyred constable on behalf of the Prime Minister and also offered Fateha.

He assured the bereaved family that all out facilities, including education, will be provided to children of the martyred constable.

Govt committed to serve the nation: Governor Punjab

Punjab Governor Muhammad Engineer Baligh-ur-Rehman says the government is committed to serve the nation and measure has been taken in this regard.

He was talking to different delegations belong to various cities at Governor House in Lahore today [Sunday].

During meeting, the delegations congratulated him for assuming the charge of Governor Punjab.

He said present government is facing many challenges and due to current situation of the country government has taken difficult decisions. He expressed hope that national economy will stabilize soon.

The Governor said that business community plays important role for economic development. He said that present government is taking all out measures for provision of relief to masses.

The Governer said that national economy was stable and inflation rate is low in previous tenure of PML-N government.

Baligh-ur-Rehman urged the people to play their due role for the progress and prosperity of the country.

Sindh govt starts student census campaign at schools, seminaries

In Sindh, the Department of School Education and Literacy, has started a student census campaign to ascertain the actual number of students studying in government schools as well as private schools and seminaries.

Our Karachi correspondent Muhammad Waqas reports that in the first phase of the drive, the School Education Department will start counting the number of students in all the schools and seminaries.

The data of the number of students, studying in private schools, institutions or seminaries will be collected to chalk out a strategy for drop out children.

Sajid Turi inaugurates ‘Overseas Pakistanis & HR Development center’ in Parachinar

 

Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Sajid Hussain Turi inaugurated “Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development center” in Parachinar on Sunday to facilitate tribal people at their doorstep.

Addressing the function, Sajid Turi said that the government is also trying to setup a Housing Society for Overseas Pakistanis, and soon a society would be established in Kurram district.
