Punjab CM directs to ensure strict implementation of Corona related SOPs

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed to ensure strict implementation of Corona related SOPs throughout province.

In a statement, he directed monitoring teams to continue their checking in markets and other public places and take action as per law on any violation.

The Chief Minister said the numbers of corona cases are increasing day by day due to non-implementation of SOPs.

He appealed to the people to follow the SOPs because their cooperation is necessary to stop the spread of fourth wave of coronavirus.

Polling for three reserved seats of AJKLA underway

Polling for three reserved seats of Ulema-o-Mashaikh, technocrats and overseas Kashmiris of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly (AJKLA) is underway.

The polling will continue till 2:00 pm without any break.

Election Commission has declared AJK Legislative Assembly hall as a polling station.

A total of nine candidates are contesting on these three reserved seats.

Earlier, KausarTaqdees Gillani, Imtiyaz Naseem, and Sabeeha Sadique Chaudry of PTI, Nebela Ayoub Khan of PPP, and Nisaran Abbasi of PML-N were declared unopposed against five Women reserved seats.

Meanwhile, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly will meet in Muzaffarabad tomorrow at 10:00 am.

The newly elected members of the Legislative Assembly will take oath during the session.

The oath-taking will be followed by elections for offices of Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly.

Election for the leader of the house will take place the next day.

DG PBC visits Radio Pakistan Mianwali today

The Director General Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Malik Muhammad Asim visited Radio Pakistan Mianwali today (Monday).

On this occasion, he was briefed about the programmes, outreach and feedback of listeners and other matters.

The Director General visited all sections and appreciated the staff for producing local, regional and national level programmes.

He also assured for resolution of all technical and other issues being faced by the unit.

PTI candidates declared successful on 3 reserved seats of AJK LA

The candidates of Pakistan Tehrik Insaf have been declared successful on three reserved seats for Ulma-o-Mashaikh, technocrats and overseas Pakistanis of the AJK Legislative Assembly.

According to results issued by returning officer, Muhammad Mazhar Saeed was declared successful on Ulma-o-Mashaikh seat, Muhammad Rafique Niyar declared successful on Technocrat seat. Both the candidates secured 27 votes and their opponents bagged 13 votes

Muhammad Iqbal was declared successful on Overseas Pakistani seat with 27 votes against his rival who secured 14 votes.

It is worth mentioning that Kausar Taqdees Gillani, Imtiyaz Naseem, and Sabeeha Sadique Chaudry of PTI, Nebela Ayoub Khan of PPP and Nisaran Abbasi of PML-N have been declared unopposed against five Women reserved seats.

Govt will provide every possible facility to Saudi investors: Buzdar

Punjab Chief Minister  Sardar Usman Buzdar has said Government is providing conducive atmosphere to foreign investors and they can fully benefit from the vast investment opportunities available in Punjab.

Talking to Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan Nawaf Bin Saeed Ahmed Al-Malkiy, who called on him in Islamabad today (Monday), the Chief Minister the provincial government will provide every possible facility to the Saudi investors.

They also discussed matters of mutual interest.

The Chief Minister said that the Saudi cooperation in the development of Pakistan is praiseworthy.

The Saudi ambassador appreciated the steps taken for public welfare and the development of social sectors.

He said that both the countries have supported each other as brothers and a state of harmony and cooperation exists in different areas of bilateral interest.
