One dies, three hurt in Karachi mishaps
Karachi: One man died in road mishap while three persons injured in blast at a fuel station in Defence Housing Authority area, here on Monday.
Police said explosion occurred at a fuel Station located near Ayesha Masjid, Khayaban e Ittehad, Defence Housing Authority DHA Phase-VI in the limit of Gizri Police Station.
Two persons identified as 32yearsold Hashmatullah S/o Inayat and 28yearsold Atif S/o Hayat received burns injuries while identity of the third injured could not be ascertained. They were rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.
Fire erupted at the fuel station after the explosion which was extinguished by fire tenders. Police and Bomb Disposal Squat BDS were investigating about the nature of blast.
Separately, a man, aged around 35 to 40, jumped from rooftop of a bus, when some miscreants resorted firing at Sohrab Goth flyover in the remit of Samanabad Police Station.
The body was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy. Police said victim jumped from rooftop of vehicle, sensing danger when some miscreant resorted aerial firing in the area.
